Sciatica Nerve Pain

I can't tell you how many clients I have had that had sciatica pain.

Web Md describes sciatica as the following:

Sciatica is a common type of pain affecting the sciatic nerve, a large nerve extending from the lower back down the back of each leg.

Common symptoms of sciatica include:

*Lower back pain

*Pain in the rear or leg that is worse when sitting

*Hip pain

*Burning or tingling down the leg

*Weakness, numbness, or difficulty moving the leg or foot

*A constant pain on one side of the rear

*A shooting pain that makes it difficult to stand up

*Sciatica usually affects only one side of the lower body. Often, the pain extends from the lower back all the way through the back of the thigh and down through the leg. Depending on where the sciatic nerve is affected, the pain may also extend to the foot or toes.

It hurts. I first had sciatica when I was pregnant. Sometimes I irritate it with some of my glute workouts.

So how can I help stop the pain? you ask. Good Question.

#1. STRETCH: This is first and foremost one of the best remedies for sciatica. See the image for some of the best stretches. Be sure to hold your stretches for 20-30 seconds.

#2. WARM / COLD Treatment: Icy Hot is a great one and feels good. Add this before your stretches. Warm compresses are also good for sciatica. Use a heating pad every few hours until the pain is reduced.

#3. TUMERIC SUPPLEMENTS: Tumeric is a natural anti-inflammatory. It helps with nerve pain and inflammation.

Have you had sciatica? If so what are some of your remedies?
