Rib Cage and Posture


Lift the rib cage for better breathing

Did you know that your posture can affect your breathing? Posture affects so much but breathing is affected. When you sit at your desk it is a normal tendency to lean in, round your shoulders, and push the rib cage down. This goes out into your everyday posture.


While teaching my classes and clients I constantly remind them to lift the rib cage. This allows more room for your lungs to breath and thereby getting more oxygen into the body.


Become aware of this and keep your rib cage lifted. This type of posture will help. It also exudes confidence and that is always a good thing.
