3 Things to Remember before You Speak

Writer's picture: Kathie OwenKathie Owen

Before you speak next time remember these three things (and here's why):

1. Is it true? Remember to even ask yourself this before speaking to yourself. If it is even the closest thing to not true it is a judgement or opinion. Practice Ho'oponpono on it and it will go away.

2. Is it necessary? So many times if you remain silent instead of voicing your opinion you will remain in non-judgement.

3. Is it kind? Kindness is king! Always be kind, even if it can be harsh, think to yourself and remind yourself of the first 2 options and you will find it is better to be kind than to put ugliness out into the universe. Like your mother always said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all." Why put more negativity out there?
